Ask Me Anything (About Beekeeping)
May 22, 2025, 7:00 P.M.
via Zoom
This is the first in a series of seasonally oriented workshops discussing what we need to pay attention to over the subsequent few weeks of the season.
The workshop will be hosted by VBA members, Fred Putnam, Jr., Jeff Battaglini, Tony Antonucci, and this year, Bianca Braman.
We will also have time to answer specific questions you have about your own colony(ies), hive(s), apiary, or your operation in general.
The primary topics in this workshop will be related to early summer management including anticipating swarming and preventing them, "reading" queen cells, the 30-day queen development cycle and why that is so important to know.
We'll cover both 1st year (new) colony and overwintered colony actions and concerns since they can be quite different.
This is the first in a series of at least three AMA online workshops.
