I am the head beekeeper at Wake Robin (Shelburne, VT) We have had hives here for the past 15 years.. We presently have 2 hives and and active committee of 6 people. We have been able to take care of our hives in the past. Unfortunately, because we are getting older, managing the hives involves some heavy lifting which we find we have trouble doing. We would very much like to keep our apiary going (we are thinking about getting a 3rd hive), but we need help. Is there anyone in the Shelburne available that would be able to join us when we work on our hives (2-3 times/ month in the spring and 2 times per month in the summer/fall). We are unable to pay you, but we share our honey with our committee members.
thank you. Steve Silverman slsilver1000@gmail.com or 802 862 9488

Hi Steve. I am not able to help but I have a suggestion. If you are adding a third hive you might go to 8 frame boxes, if, you are currently using 10 frame. Somewhat lighter. Also, if your 2 colony's are 10 frame, buy some new 8 frame boxes for the whole apiary. Heck, it's only money. Good luck....Peter
