This feels like a dumb question but If I only have some honey to scrape off of a honey frame, should I just leave the surrounding wax on the frame and let the bees build the center back up or just scrape all of the wax off and have them rebuild all of the comb? I'm extracting by hand and straining in a honey bucket.

By all means leave as much comb as possible. More wax, less work(for the bees) , more honey stored. Good luck.
