I had 4 swarms of bees in the fall. 2 succumbed to a bear. I had those 2 hives completely screwed together as I didn't get them inside the electric fence enclosure. The bear tossed these hives around so much the insides looked like they had been in a blender. (2 Down) In March in 40 deg weather I had bees flying out of the 3rd hive (dead by march 20) The 4th swarm was bringing in pollen to beat the band in early April. (dead by April 20)
None of the hives showed an area where the bees had clustered. There was an over abundance of honey in all hives. But most confusing I have not seen a single honey bee since My bees died out, no robbers no bees. I miss the bees.
