I want to try something new this year as a mite treatment and was wondering if anyone has experience doing this or any tips. Right after I take off the honey supers in late July or early August I would:
Day 0: Restrict the queen to one frame using a follower board with queen excluder on either side of the frame.
Day 14: Release the queen and remove trapped frame once all brood is capped
Day 21: treat with Oxalic acid.

I think it would be easier to simply treat three times in 21 days. I'd want the queen laying as much as she can in fall not reducing colony size pre winter.
