Hello,
I'm a new beekeeper, I discovered a few weeks ago that I lost a hive over the winter. I was out in the beautiful weather today looking over the hive and hoping to get ready for a new package of bees. I have hopefully attached a picture of what I found on one of the frames. In many of the cells there were piles of small white pellets, and in other cells a gooey white material. If anyone could advise on whether this is normal or not, that would be very helpful. Is it a sign of mites?
Thanks!
