Generally the Vermont dearth period tends to be from Mid-july to about early August. The fall flow is identified by the goldenrod flow. Here in Addison county and in talk to folks in Rutland County an early dearth seems present. One way I identify dearth is watching flower blooms but also observing bees and other flying insects trying to break into the solar wax meter and my super storage shed. When a nectar flow is on the bugs ignore these thing's but right now they are actively seeking other food sources
