Hello all and Merry Christmas.
I recently received an offer from a prominent beekeeping supplier offering packages of bees, "delivered".(in May) I am wondering how these bees will be inspected ???? Last summer I lost a couple of hives to Small Hive Beetles, mainly my fault for not catching the problem early on. Comments ???

Come to the winter meeting. We will be discussing this topic. Nucleus colonies flooding into Vermont....5-6000 every year. Some with high beetle and varroa populations. You can't bring infected cattle or nursery stock into the state. Why can nucs with 30+ varroa counts enter the state legally. Your opinions will be welcome.
