There are many choices for frames and foundation. Plastic, Wood, frames and wax and or plastic foundation (white or black). What choices of Frames and Foundation, works well for Bee Keepers in our area of Vermont. I've been using wood Frames with Wax Foundation. But, I keep seeing other options, that are being advertised by Better Bee. Can I get someone's opinion on this subject.

The all plastic frames the to be too flexible in hot weather and bend rather than pry out when working on frame removals. Also, the are not as repairable as using wood frames. Like Ron, I use wood frames with black plastic brood foundation. The wood is sturdy, repairable, and prys out much easier.
I have used plastic frames in the past I don't like them at all
Wooden frames with plastic foundation work very good if the foundation has a good coat
Of wax but also with any foundation you need a good flow so the bees can draw it out.
I like wood and wax foundation for my brood boxes .
The black plastic if used in the brood box will let your eggs show up a lot better then
Light comb.
