Wow, what a good flow. Lots of hundred pounders out there in the bee yards. Early flows were okay, but the Sumac was great. Best clover bloom I've seen in years. The fields are white and yellow with clover and trefoil. And have you seen that purple Vetch. If the Sweet Clover/Basswood flow yields well, this might be a year to write home about.

Tasted a new honey yesterday. Bright yellow honey with a spicy flavor. A little peppery aftertaste. Haven't a clue what it comes from. Mmmm

It has slowed. Just tasted Basswood yesterday, and some nectar shook out. Looking for the flow to continue past the middle of July.

Ditto on the flow. The vetch seems to be much more present than in past years. Our sumac was huge and fortunately

we had some farms down here letting the clover go to flower as the re-set their corn fields.
