Hi there everyone. We are purchasing a new property on Grand Isle, and move in seven or so weeks.
We are also getting one fenced Langstroth hive full of bees. I have always planned on having bees, but now I’m feeling like I’ve been thrown into bee husbandry. My goal this year is to keep the colony healthy and warm/ready for winter.
I have three beekeeping books and an inspection journal coming next week. We are Covid cautious because of our young kids, and can’t travel to study in person from beekeepers. Does anyone know of videos, online classes or just advice that can help orient me in the next seven weeks, before I’m entrusted with this hive?
Thank you.
