Checked around my hives today since its 55 here and found flyers coming out of one colony and the other three still alive. Kinda thought the frigid temps and wicked winds could have gotten them, but so far so good. Pretty well wrapped, insulated with foam on north and northwest sides, top cover installed and lid just set on there with lots of ventalation. One smaller coloney was moving out the upper hole on the top cover which leads me to believe that one is allready way up there into its stores, am thinking about a candy board for later this winter in Feb if we get a warm day to install...allready lookin forward to getting food on them as early as possable in march.
